June 2012/Newly planted brassicas

Muck spreading in our field. So far, we have planted Lettuce and other salad leaves, Fennel, Courgettes, Squashes, Onions, Spring Onions, Runner Beans, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbages, Caulis, Kale, Broccoli, Parsley, Sweetcorn, and have sown Broad Beans, Carrots and Swedes. The brassicas are under fleece to give them a head start, and they will probably spend a large amount of their life under enviromesh to protect them from the long list of things that want to eat them. Now we just need some sunshine, so everything will grow.
